Houston

Houston & Hound exists because of a dog named Houston.

Rescued at five weeks old from a neglectful home, Houston came to us with anxiety most puppies don't carry. Loud noises made him flinch. Nights were restless. For a long time he didn't know how to feel safe.

We spent the next two years figuring out what actually helped — and throwing out most of what didn't. The bed he finally settled in. The mat that gave him something to focus on when the world felt too loud. The bowl that slowed him down at dinner. Small things, added up.

Houston & Hound is the shortlist of what worked.

What we do and don't say

We don't claim our products are vet-recommended, because we haven't paid vets to recommend them. We don't claim BPA-free or medical-grade unless we can show you the test. We don't say "calming" on the bed page, because we can't promise your dog will feel what Houston feels.

What we can tell you is that every product in the shop is one we use, or one we'd give a friend. That's the whole filter.
